Leyton Orient: Interesting Pubs
A trip to London for a football game is, of course, an opportunity to try some interesting pubs but sadly some grounds just don’t have anything much nearby to get a beer. When visiting places such as AFC Wimbledon or Barnet your best bet is really to go to an area better served by decent pubs and then hop on a tube to the ground for the match. Just for reference a couple of guides to brew pubs and craft beer are attached:

However, as we are talking about Leyton in London, we are in luck as within a mile of the ground is one of the most splendid and good value ale houses you could hope to visit. The King William 4th is the brewery tap for the fabulous Brodies Brewery and is honestly a real paradise for the dedicated beer hunter. Address 816 High Street Leyton with a bus stop outside for an easy ride to the ground.
A pub which I would like to try although It has a reputation of being a bit packed on match days is the Birbeck Tavern which is fairly close to the ground and is described as a good old east end pub with a fine range of ales.
If you want to try another, then the pleasant architecture of the Leyton Technical may meet your need.
A little more distant away but very convenient for the tube to Leyton is Cittie of Yorke: a pub visited by some friends before the last Orient game and very good according to all reports.
All in all a favourite trip for the beer hunter; I really do like brewery taps, simply something that touch special!
