Mansfield: A Surprising Gem to Enjoy
I have been to Mansfield quite a few time and have previously used the Court House a used to be Wetherspoon’s outlet; reasonably priced beer but spoons food!
On an evening pre-match beer hunt I stumbled upon the Railway Inn which is surprisingly close to the railway station and not that far from the ground. I should say that when I go to Mansfield these days I usually opt for the train as I absolutely detest the horrible A617; dreadful road. Anyway, enough moaning and back to the beer:
The Court House in the market place in Mansfield: standard stuff: note this pub has recently been sold by Wetherspoon's and is now under new management so possibly worth a visit.
My preferred choice is the wonderful Railway Inn; it really is a great little place that is used by home fans and visiting fans alike. The ales are really good and the food high quality; that’s where I will be headed for sure.
A good number of other pubs are also mentioned in "are these the best 8 pubs in Mansfield" article.
Interesting Local Brewery: the superb Full Mash Brewery, a miniature brewery that certainly produces an impressive range of ales.
